The author forgot to mention that the PS4 version is also up-scaled to 1080p via software. The results are far from impressive; muddy textures and washed-out colours. This could explain some of the differences, but the entire lack of certain effects is unacceptable, in my opinion. I really doubt that it is because the PlayStation 4 cannot handle it because, trust me, KillZone Shadow Fall well proved what the PS4 is capable of.
In the video posted in the article, you can clearly see some effects completely missing from the PlayStation 4 version. I guess the author's speculation is that those effects weren't added (or maybe removed) on the PlayStation 4 because it can't handle it, but rather to keep the graphical difference between both next generation consoles minimal.
But she is right. It is very peculiar that the Xbox One is running BF4 on a (almost) sub-HD resolution; 1080x720p.
The author has played a few minutes of Killzone Shadow Fall. Says it feels a little more like the Halo series than previous Killzones.
Maybe that was her inspiration for this article.
Still remember driving my Nissan Silvia in GTA 3. That was amazing!
This seems logical. A few of my friends got a copy of GTA V 3 days before launch from Amazon.
They must ship early to meet demands.
... which could mean bad news for PlayStation 3 owners. :S
Yet you clicked, bro. :)
Gotta give homage to nudity where it is deserved, whether male or female. :)
This sounds serious...
Hospital bills have finally been fixed. No more than 500 per death in free roam now. :)
Don't click above link. It is just a link to some crappy "earn money at home" spam site. Report as spam. :)
Educated guess. Almost all their statements thus far do not correlate with keeping GTA V, which is the biggest game of the generation, strictly on current gen consoles.
All the talk about growth and GTA O being the future of the franchise (also linked in article) is basically an indirect statement about the release of a next gen version.
With that being said, Rockstar also announced that they are currently working on the next "version" of a famous ...
Not entirely. Rockstar North have confirmed that other famous locales will unlock in the future. Link to source in article. As for GTA V next gen, it is almost a certainty, especially if they want GTA Online to last.
This method is currently working for the PlayStation 3. A lot of people that are in non-supported countries are using other accounts. If the problem is just "purchasing PlayStation Plus Membership" then people could just use the same method and buy membership through an online retailer.
There have been no statements about the PlayStation being region locked... so this is more of a fact than a rumor, I'd say.
When will it end?
20 minutes on a mission, make 2,000. Die at the hand of some griefing troll one second later, lose 5,000 in medical expenses.
The game is just too imbalanced at this time. I don't really blame people for using exploits, as pathetic as that sounds.
Wouldn't surprise me if those events came to pass. Even the meteor. :)
So Microsoft is banning accounts under Rockstar's instruction. It is still Microsoft doing the banning. It's just another way of phrasing it. :)
I think a ban is a little over-kill. Maybe just delete the characters and let them start fresh. There are a lot of bugs in GTA Online, this kind of thing was expected.
This is why they should have had a PUBLIC beta before launch. Microsoft banning again? No surprise. They are ban-happy.
Hi Ketz. DF retracted John's statement about a botched upload. Their findings still stand, and they are still very curious about the differences between the two.
New freelancer John Linneman made comments online suggesting that the workflow was in error and that there wasn't time to correct it. We love John, but he wasn't privy to the workflow of last week's events, nor involved in any of the internal discussions we had. While his heart was in the right place,...
